The Perfect Grandma?

Watched In Her Shoes few days ago. The movie was quite touching, although I didn't expect it to last more than 2 hours.

Emphasizes family values. I'll give it 8/10

I think the most outstanding cast was Shirley MacLaine. She overshined Cameron and Toni even though she only appeared halfway through the story. She also overshadowed Nicole and Jen Aniston in Bewitched and Rumor Has It.

Shirley was named after Shirley Temple

Some interesting facts of Shirley:
1. Made her film debut in a movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock
2. Won an Oscar for best actress in 1983's Terms of Endearment
3. She has 10 best-selling books
4. She worked with the famous Rat Pack in the original Ocean's Eleven
5. She is sister to Warren Beatty
6. She has a website
7. She is into Astrology, Aroma Therapy, Health & Environmental, Pets, Numerology and Reincarnation

How cool is that! Wouldn't you like to have a grandma like Shirley?

Liverpool will kick Man U asses tomorrow!

The moment I saw this advertisement I wanted to post another photo of me, imitating the same gesture (like what Kenny usually did), and says "Got Beer?"

But then, I can't find a beach with footprints within 20km radius. So fuck that.

Have a mind blowing weekend y'all.

The Woman I Want To Be!

Came across a female blogger, and damn I tell you, if I were born as a woman, I want to be just like her! She's got freakin everything! Pretty face, beautiful figure, cute boyfriend, wonderful job (although I don't know what her job is), and most importantly, she freakin travels a lot!! Just look where she travelled for 2005, I repeat, only 2005!!

Egypt. Cairo Museum! OMG, that's so cool!

Maldives, twice!! Perfect beach, perfect body.

Cape Town. OMFG, Cape of Good Hope, and the Safari!

Paris, twice!!

Turkey. Unfortunately no belly dancing!

Bali, twice!! The villa they stayed was fuckin huge okay!!

On top of that, Taiwan, India (3 times!!), NYC, San Fransico, London, LA, Frankfurt and Dubai. All in one goddamn year!! Jeles sial. Then I look at her dog..

Kanasai. Burberry somemore -_-"

Too bad she didn't update since last November. Probably she travels to Moon already.

p/s: She's back, and she quit her job! She quit the dream job! Good lord..

Syriana - Are You Lost?

This is one of the best geopolitical thrillers in recent years. However, the movie is quite complicated, at least not the type that entertains most of our audience. I myself have problem understanding the plot sometimes, thanks to the badly done subtitle.

Syriana - Overall I'll give it 7.5/10

Puzzle 1: George Clooney got his award based on supporting role. Who's playing the lead role then? Or there was no lead role in this movie at all?

The superb trio of Damon, Clooney and Alexander Siddig (in white) capped an excellent performance

Puzzle 2: Why they show the execution of Prince Nasir in the dessert, but not the suicide bombing of Wasim?

The last moment of Wasim

Puzzle 3: If CIA is so capable of eliminating their "enemies", then why are Ahmadinejad, Castro, JI, Abu Sayyaf and al-Qaeda leaders still walking around? Somehow there must be some complicated conspiracy behind of everything, because somehow I believe US Army, if not CIA, is capable of performing such act. Ya know, more like not that they can't, but they don't want to, kinda shit.

Don't mess with CIA, EVAR.

Of course, for people like us, they don't have to bomb you with a guided missile. Peeling the nails of your finger will do.

Lord of War or Warlord?

After some non-stop gambling and open-house visiting, me and Mae decided to go Lot 10/Sg Wang for some shopping. She got herself a very nice pair of blue fish-skin court shoe, while I satisfied myself with some great DVDs.

First up, Lord of War (My rating: 8.5/10)

This is definitely gonna be one of my favourite movie of 2006 (even though it was released in US last year). Great story, great plot, excellent cast, good screenplay and most of all, the fact that it was shoot on-site in Ukraine, West Africa and Middle-East, makes it even more realistic.

Not a big fan of Nicholas Cage, but definitely this is one of his best performance! Somehow he's still able to look so innocent, even when he's the most successful arms dealer. Jared Leto and Ethan Hawke were fine. But most surprisingly I notice a familiar face when Ava Fontaine (Yuri's wife) appeared.

The moment I saw her I feel deja vu. Then I realised she was Natasha from Sex and the City! Her name is Bridget Moynahan, and her filmography is quite impressive as well: The Recruit, I-Robot, Sum of All Fears and the most famous of all..

Coyote Ugly.

Even Tyra Banks, Piper Perabo and Maria Bello didn't made it as big as Bridget, on the silver screen.

Still, who would forget that bar?
